Well Child Visit Video Series + Accompanying Guides
What is a well child visit?
A well child visit is a routine checkup that focuses on your child’s growth, development, and overall health. These visits are a cornerstone of pediatric care—offering a chance to catch concerns early, stay up-to-date on vaccines, and support your child’s progress at every age and stage.
Why are well child visits important?
Well visits allow us to monitor your child’s physical and developmental milestones, provide recommended immunizations, and talk through common questions about feeding, sleep, behavior, and safety. These visits are also a time to build a strong relationship between families and pediatric providers—working together to support your child’s health journey.
In the videos and downloadable guides below, I walk through everything I typically cover in my well child visits as a pediatric nurse practitioner—including:
Developmental milestones your child should be reaching at each age
Anticipatory guidance to help you navigate sleep, safety, feeding, play, and more
Tips I wish I had more time to share during every visit
Because clinic visits are often short and packed with information, I created this series so you can revisit the guidance at your own pace. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming checkup or want to know what to expect in the months ahead, these resources are here to support you.
